This procedure is used to clear cloudy vision due to capsule haze. Capsule haze occurs after a patient has had cataract surgery and the cells begin to collect behind the new lens causing a foggy or clouded vision. The doctor clears the capsule haze by applying laser treatment to the posterior capsule and clearing away the clouded cells. Cells then continue to collect around the lens, but never again cover the visual pathway. This procedure is completely painless.
